Many people never ask for a chart reading because they do not know their birth time. The good news: a karmic analysis is possible without it, and an honest astrologer will tell you exactly which parts of the report are affected. Here is what changes, what does not, and how to find the time if it exists somewhere.
What depends on the birth time
The time of birth sets the Ascendant, the sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment you were born. The Ascendant decides the houses: which area of life each planet belongs to. It also fixes the exact position of the Moon, which moves about one degree every two hours, and of the lunar nodes, which move more slowly. Without the time, the houses cannot be set, the Ascendant is unknown, and the Moon's position is known only within a range.
What does not depend on it
Most of the chart. The signs of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn do not change within a day, nor do the outer planets, Chiron or the asteroids. The aspects between the planets, which describe how the parts of you talk to each other, are almost all valid. The sign of the lunar nodes, the eclipses before your birth and the main transits of the coming years are all readable. In karmic astrology this is the larger part of the story: what you brought with you and what you came to learn is visible without the houses. Only the area of life where it plays out is less certain.
How Mónika handles it

If you know an approximate time ("in the morning", "around lunch"), she uses it and says so. If a statement depends on the Moon's position, the report gives the range and the most likely reading. You never receive a confident sentence that is really a guess.
How to find your birth time
- Hospital records and the documents given to your parents at birth; in many countries also the birth certificate itself.
- The registry office of the town where you were born; some keep the time, some do not.
- Family memory: a parent, an older sibling, a letter, a baby book. "Just before dinner" is better than nothing.
- Rectification, where an astrologer estimates the time from the dates of major events in your life. Mónika can discuss it with you if several events are known precisely.
What the analysis gives you
