Career change: what work fits me?

You do your job well and still feel that it is not yours. Or a change is on the table, a new field, a new country, your own business, and you cannot tell whether the pull is a direction or an escape. The birth chart answers a narrower question than "what should I do", and a more useful one: what kind of work feeds you, and when a change is supported.

Vocation is not the same as a job title

Astrology does not say "you should be a teacher". It describes the shape of the work that fits: alone or with people, in a structure or in freedom, building slowly or starting things, visible or behind the scenes, with the hands, the mind or the heart. Many job titles fit the shape; few fit a person who ignores it. A career change that keeps the old shape in a new place usually disappoints. One that changes the shape, even in the same field, usually works.

What Mónika looks at

  • The Midheaven and the tenth house: your public role and the direction of your working life.
  • The second and the sixth houses: resources and money, and the daily work itself: what you can do every day without wearing out.
  • The Sun, Mars and Saturn: what you want to be, how you act, and the responsibility that makes you grow.
  • The lunar nodes: whether the work you are drawn to belongs to the comfortable past or to the direction of your life. This is the karmic question, and it is usually the one that decides.
  • The transits of the next two years: whether this is a time for a change or for building where you are. Timing is often the most practical part of the report.

An example of how it reads

Imagine the Midheaven in a sign of service with Saturn there, and the north node in the fifth house. The person has worked for twenty years in a reliable, responsible role, well, and without joy. The chart says the responsibility is real and the joy is missing on purpose: the direction points toward creative work and risk, which the person has called "unrealistic" since childhood. The report would describe the shape of the work that fits, and from the transits it would say whether the coming year supports a jump, a side project, or patience. What the person does with that is their decision; Mónika's rules keep it that way.
